Medium Pressure Relief Valve
The medium pressure relief device is designed to protect oil-filled transformers, on-load tap changers, and other electrical equipment from overpressure.
Features
- Unique “tip/side” seal design ensures reliable sealing even after multiple operations
- Up to two switches for signaling and control
- Integrated gas release system
- Compact protection for personnel and equipment
- A stainless-steel shield mounted at the top redirects the flow of hot oil and gases away from personnel or critical transformer components
- A mesh flow opening enables rapid pressure relief while preventing debris from entering the device
- 100% of units are tested to ensure long-term performance
- Each device is tested and certified to meet operational standards before shipment, with all test records archived for quality assurance
- In the event of a sudden overpressure, the device activates with a percussive “pop” to quickly release excess pressure
- The device automatically reseals once the pressure drops to no less than half of its rated operating pressure
- Indicator and additional signaling activate upon mechanism operation, providing timely notification of device activation
- Corrosion-resistant materials and robust construction ensure reliable protection
- Mechanically secured dual sealing prevents leakage and protects against contaminants such as dust and moisture
- The flange, ring, and valve are made of aluminum and feature a thermoset powder coating for increased durability
- Switches are protected by rugged cast housings with IP66 protection rating
- Operating pressure is adjustable within three ranges: 2.9–5.7 PSI, 5.8–8.6 PSI, and 8.7–11.6 PSI
