Oil Level Indicators

Description

It provides continuous indication of the liquid level inside the main transformer tank, conservator tank, or on-load tap changer compartment. Models are available with float mechanisms driven by either a gear or a lever. The gear mechanism offers amplified pointer movement relative to the float’s displacement, while the lever mechanism has a more compact profile, making it ideal for use in restricted transformer spaces. Built-in contacts enable limiting and alarm functions.

Features:

6-inch (150 mm) dial with lever (radial) or float mechanism for use in tanks of various geometries.
Models feature a replaceable housing (dial) that can be changed without lowering the oil level or compromising the tank’s sealing.
Up to two adjustable SPDT switches; models are equipped with a rotating lens for switch testing.
Magnetically coupled for leak-free operation.
Low and high-level alarm control is possible thanks to 3–4 built-in switches.
The housing is made of cast aluminum with a thermosetting powder coating.
Stainless steel and corrosion-resistant components protect the device from harsh environmental conditions.
Designed for hazardous areas and UL certified for Class 1 Div 2.

Options:

Optional UV-resistant polycarbonate lens that does not yellow over time.
A variety of electrical connection types available, including quick-connect, military-style, ANSI, cable-ready, and junction box styles.
Resistive (potentiometric) or 4–20 mA electronic output for remote indication and SCADA system integration.
Universal replaceable housing for field installation.
Float travel from minimum to maximum marks, adaptable for different tank configurations.
Choice of tank connection type (flange), dial style, and dial layout.
Various electrical connection types, cable sizes, lengths, and wire colors available.

The float rod must be assembled to extend from the shaft side with the enlarged opening.
Insulation test: 2000 volts to ground for 60 seconds
