Description
A mechanical device for relieving excess pressure in large volumes of gas or liquid. The patented double seal system provides fast response times and automatic resealing after pressure release. Options are available with local trip indication, signal switches for warnings, and a protective housing to control the release of hot oil and gas.
Application area
Overpressure protection on transformers, on-load winding switches and other electrical equipment.
Qualitrol pressure relief devices are used in transformers for a variety of applications:
- Networks (up to 500 kVA and above)
- Large power distribution and small power systems (up to 2500 kVA)
- Medium power systems (2500 to 10,000 kVA)
- High power systems (10,000 kVA and above)
- Load winding switches
- Mobile systems
- Electric locomotives
Advantages:
- Confidence with international standard in pressure relief devices
- Rugged design and materials provide reliable protection
- and long service life
- Widest range of supply options to suit every need
- 100% inspected to ensure quality
- Visual and remote trip indication
